Today Liz and Toni are joined by Hannah (who Toni can't believe is even old enough to drive) who shares what she's learned during her three hour daily commute.

1. Don't block the intersection. Seriously people... WHY???
2. Traffic circles, if you don't know what these are (aka you didn't learn to drive in the Northeast), watch and observe before entering one. It isn't tricky if you do what everyone else is doing.
3. Blinkers don't mean speed up so we can't get over. Also, it's good to use them when you are making a turn so you don't get rear ended.
4. SLOW DOWN. We all get there eventually.

- Reboot your computer. It really is a remedy. There are scripts and things that run when the computer starts up that are designed to fix things. (that's the non-technical explanation....haha)
- If you are calling a friend for help, try Googling your issue or asking someone else in the office before you call IT.
- Pay attention to the problem you need solved. The more information you have when you talk to IT, the easier it will be for them to solve your issue.
- Don't be that guy. Seriously.
Kelly Snyder joins Toni and Liz to discuss wardrobes, clothes and the dos and don'ts of how we dress.

- Remember to bring your manners to the stadium or arena. Avoid drinking too much, swearing too much, and SIT IN YOUR ASSIGNED SEAT. (All caps for emphasis- from Toni)
- The world does not end if your team loses. No one likes a sore loser, or a gloating winner.
- If you are watching an event at someone's house, offer to bring a snack or drinks, or both.
- Clean up after yourself. You might not be invited back to watch the game on the 72 inch HD television if you leave a gigantic mess.

- Budget. Have budget meetings. Money is the number one source of marital fights. Have a budget, talk about the budget and stick to the budget.

Eric Nisall joins Liz and Toni to discuss all the ways we annoy our accountants....okay, we did try to avoid being hated while doing the interview so we didn't bring up all the things we do for our accountants. Eric brings a voice of reason to the accounting conversation we we talked about deductions and timelines.
Take Aways:
- Ask questions when hiring a new accountant. Interview them and find someone who specializes in your area. Not every accountant is an expert in every area.
- Make sure the preparer form is attached and they are signing the tax return so they are accountable for their work.
- Ask how they are getting paid. Going to places with high volume and general services may mean that you miss out on more specialized deductions.
- The more organized your records, the less you spend. There is a direct correlation.
- Pay your accountant on time.
- Do NOT call the day after submitting your paperwork to ask if the return is done.

Chances are you probably know someone who is the spouse of a first responder and they face many unique challenges. Lori provides insight into how we can better serve our first responder community. Take aways - Consider the wife of the firefighter while on shift. Be compassionate towards her while the only parent at home and try to understand the emotional stress.
- Give them their space when they are off work. Be respectful of their "off time." Don't take advantage of their passion to want to help people.
